Game-Aholic Confessions

Hello. My name is Elven and I'm....a game-aholic. (cries) There, i said it. I can draw this conclusion on many facts, the most notable of which is that i have literally held my controller so long playing Final Fantasy that i tore off layers of skin...on more than one occasion. To all posters....BEAT THAT!

Hello, my name is Zain and I am not a game-aholic. I do not play games all day. I did not play video games an hour after coming out of a major surgery in which the docs said I'd never have use of my thumb again. I do not have dreams of being in games nor does my imagination put me in said games.

Alright! I was lying. I am such a game-aholic it isn't even funny.

(*Drum roll.* Shaiya, Perfect World, Guild Wars, Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, Neverwinter Nights, Final Fantasy (1-10), Pokemon (all versions), Fallout 3, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.)

I am not a game-a-holic, but i play one online. My non-addiction began in the womb, when i was forced to leave it early because I had no place to plug in my mouse or keyboard. Since that time I have been known to play for hours and hours. So bad is my condition that i have spare mice and keyboards , you know just incase.

Alas, my gaming began around the age of 17 after I left home. I was raised being told that games were evil and a waste of time, and so due to gaming deprivation I have succumbed to the powerful addiction in which I now find myself enraptured. There is no drug nor drink that can keep me so enamored with joy and fantasy and turn me into such a die-hard completionist. And I'm glad for that, for gaming is educational, say I! No matter how addicted to gaming I may be, or may continue to be, I stand proud and shout to the world, "I AM A GAME-AHOLIC!"

Unfortunately I am disqualified from having my name in the drawing... however in the coming weeks, if no one reposts their Fave5 in the Fave5 thread then my Fave5 shall automatically be played so that the game will go on. So there!



Hmm... lets see... Perfect World, Jade Dynasty, Ether Saga, Guild Wars, Shaiya (kinda if it will ever let me log in again), Final Fantasy (7, 8, 10) , Pokemon (Ruby, Saphire, Leaf Green, Fire Red, Diamond, Pearl, Mystery Dungeon, and more to come I'm sure...) Fable (1 & 2), Kingdom Hearts (1 & 2), Katamari Damacy, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Cross, - I could get old school and list stuff like Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong, but oh hell I already did, screw it... Kirby, Pac Man, Ninja Turtles, Crash Bandicoot, Road Rage, Twisted Metal 4, and those are just some of the ones that I can even remember at the moment... Oh! Oh! And the one that started it all.... TETRIS!!!!!!!!

Alright, if you all can be brave enough to admit it, I can too... I am... I am..... *covers face* a huge, whoppin' game-aholic! *uncovers face, looks around* Wow, now I feel better!

How have I come to this conclusion? Well, when other third-graders were playing with action figures and playground equipment, I was blowing stuff up in Quake III, and I haven't jumped off the gaming train yet - though I can't admit to any such gaming binges as have taken the skin off my hands. That's a feat I haven't performed yet! I will say the main reason I go on Facebook is to play the games on there, and they aren't even all that great, that's how much of a lame game-aholic I am.

The games that have stolen the most hours of my life are Morrowind, Oblivion, Warcraft III, Quake III and Quake Team Arena, Jade Empire, Deus Ex Invisible War, Drakan, Need for Speed (pretty much all of them but the very most recent one), and of course Perfect World, though of course there are myriad others, including (but not limited to) Halo I & II, Fallout III, Doom III, Quake IV, Donkey Kong.. and others I can't think of atm. I also have discovered that I've been infected with the compulsion to use gamer chatspeak when I type informally... so I use acronyms that other people don't get sometimes xD

Hey! I'm Kahlan, and I'm a game-a-holic. I play every chance I get, and am well known on most of the game I play. I always listen to music, as it stimulates my mode of play (mostly in fps, since you don't really have multiple forms of play in rpgs).

I strive to be the best in my games, even though there are others better than me, I don't give a crap.

I play PC games, I cannot handle a console - I overshoot, I play alot.

AS in I really play too much. I've spent entire nights awake, playing until hunger pangs literally tear me away from my PC. I play FPS's , RPG's and most any other type of game. I've played mindless games such as Lego Star Wars to the complex games the likes of Championship Manager. I've played FPS's Farcry, Counter Strike, Halo 1, Crysis, Delta Force (all), Tom Clancy's Rainbow (most). I'va played many RPG's like Fallout (all), ADOM, Diablo II, KOTOR (all), Perfect World, WoW, Fable 1.

Other notable games *hangs head in shame*.

Hey, I like that, Ariah! I don't have time management problems... playing games for 18 hours in a day would be perfectly acceptable if those silly Days would just get their act together and stick some more hours in there!

lol well i thought i wasnt a gameaholic until i started playing shaiya... now that's all i play.

but others worth mentioning as my favorites= final fantasy, god of war, fable2, gears of war, kingdom hearts... and the list goes on...

ooh, ooh, how was God of War? no one I know has actually played it >.< Just from pictures in magazines it looks kinda similar to some of the prince of persia games, but it probably has more of the run-around-and-kill-everything component than the unlock-the-next-room-in-an-epic-sized-puzzle component lol
